Journal sans titre

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 25, 2009, 2:21 PM

So, life has been busy as usual, but it seems like a lot more is going on than the ordinary things in my agenda.

LIST OF SAID OTHER THINGS
~More volunteer hours at the library organizing books and other libraryish things
~Raising money for the Japan trip that will be during this coming summer (I'm supposed to raise 1/3 of the trip money, which is $500 :faint:)
~Deciding on which college I want to go to (I'm down to 2 choices)
~The general crushing aura of senior year

It takes so much out of me to do a lot of this stuff, but I know I'll (most likely) get through this with all of my limbs intact.

But seriously, I need to take a breather and just relax and I don't know, DRAW SOMETHING?

I'll get to it eventually :XD:

So, my day has been crap-frickin'-tastic! If you're wondering why, here's a list of why my day has been pure merde.

1) My Japanese exchange student left for Japan today. The word "emotional" doesn't even begin to describe how this process of bidding farewell went.
First off, my mom, exchange student and I were crying like idiots to begin with, but when we got to the meeting place, everyone else was crying, as well! Tear-soaked hugs were given and sobbing goodbyes were said, and Kleenexes were everywhere, thanks to our water works. And this was at 4:30 in the morning when this happened! (I know; early, right?) And just when I thought I couldn't bawl any more hysterically, all of the Japanese students started hugging me and thanked me profusely for hosting them so well.

2) My morning clock was totally off today. Normally for second hour, I go down to the cafe and get breakfast. But NOOOO! The juniors just HAD to do a frickin' writing prompt thing that was considered a huge "honor". Thank you, writing prompt people, for making me skip breakfast, which makes me snack like crazy. :x

3) My English teacher pissed me off to no end today. But I'll stop here before I get nasty.

And that is why my day was pure MANURE!

The Senior Year Chronicles: Week 2

Wed Sep 9, 2009, 5:16 PM
I'm definitely starting to feel the pressure of senior year now. Everyday, I find my backpack has been expanding like crazy with homework; thank you, Algebra/Trig, ChemComm, and Multicultural Lit. But classes have been going so well so far.

This is kinda rare for me: I actually LOVE my gym class! I don't have to run laps, but I get to rock climb, go spelunking, kayaking and mountain biking! Finally! I can enjoy a class without worrying about other people laughing at my lack of athletic ability!

And taking 3 languages in a row is actually quite easy for me, now that I think about it. French, Spanish, and Japanese have opened my eyes to how big the world really is and that everyone should gain some appreciation for different cultures.

I find that my world will be expanding even more next week: I will be hosting a Japanese student! :excited: We've been communicating through e-mail and it feels like we're going to become good friends. I love how this world works!

Aaaaaand...that's it for this journal update!

Keep it real and keep on persevering in your studies!
